
Beginners and High School Students Courses
These two courses
are
for those who have not sewn before, have very limited experience or
studying textiles and design.
Beginners Course
The course will
cover:
-
How to use a
sewing machine.
-
How to read
and understand a commercial pattern
-
How to
layout and cut your fabric
-
How to
select appropriate fabrics
-
Basic sewing
techniques which would include:
-
Seams
-
Darts
-
Gathering
-
Hems
-
Waistbands
-
Zips,
and
-
Hand
sewing skills
-
You will make a basic garment using some of the skills
you have learned and then work on projects of your choice as time
allows.
Course duration
- one
2 hour class per week for 8 weeks (16 hours)
Class size - three
students.
Cost - $495 (a $200
deposit will be required at the time of booking and the remainder at
the first lesson). As the classes are so small make up classes can
not be offered if they are missed.

for school students and those currently studying textiles and
design.
You will make a basic garment.

- Over the school holiday breaks I am adding morning and afternoon courses
as required.
Additional courses will
be scheduled if required.

10 to 17 year olds,
three hours $95
